Rahim Bakhsh Khetran is an anthropologist.

He hails from a small village ‘Nahar Kot’ located in the North-Eastern district Barkhan of Balochistan, Pakistan.

He has studied Anthropology at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad and that’s where his interest with the culture and communities started.

Rahim Bakhsh Khetran is a Hubert Humphrey Fellow at Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

He also worked as Visiting International Research Fellow (2014) at The McCain Institute for International Leadership in Washington DC.

Rahim Khetran has experience of more than 10 years with different national and international organizations.

He was also a member of Youth Parliament of Pakistan from 2008-09.

His interest was fuelled further by his extensive travel due to official assignments and leisure excursions mostly to the rural areas. The curiosity in people, culture, food and the landscapes was soon shifted from retina and saved in the lens of a camera. This gave birth to a ‘travel photographer’ who believes that what you see should please the aesthetics of all those who somehow are not able to manage and see.

All these last years, he worked in the region of Pakistan Balouchistan.

Up to now, his artistic photographies are mainly about Pak Baloch way of life and culture.

As since October 2021, Rahim Khetran is based in Turkey at Ankara, he’ll shot, for the pleasure of our eyes, superb pictures of this Turkish region.

His artistic photographies are in private art collections in Pakistan and France.
